any medical help for military requirements
hello, I am currently going to join the navy. And as I was told, I have to undergo some type of background check where they look into my past and it’s driving me to a bit of a concern. When I was younger, about 14, my mom had gotten cancer and my close relative had passed away within the same week. and it gotten me to be very depressed. During the same year I dealt with bullying so I had eventually got admitted into a hospital. I was put on medication but only took them for a year, so I stopped at 15. Ever since then I’ve been great and of course decided to join the military. But because of my past. I’m worried that this is going to stop me from joining. even though I haven’t said anything about MY past because I was a minor (im 18 now) they had told me that they had put people with similar records as me in the navy. But now im not so sure. Will this most likely make me not go in even though my scores were decent and such? I’m too worried to talk to a recruiter only because I don’t want to be so open about things that really aren’t a big deal and haven’t been since I was 15. Any advice? And I don’t really know where else I can post this. I’m new to Reddit. So if there is a better place please share
