Every micro journal (or every writer's deck) is an attention grabber. The design of it and the customization sometimes attracted attention, more than you wanted.

I haven't brought my new rev.2.1 to work but if my colleagues see it, they would get curious, and there is 89% they would ask, "**Can it run Doom?**"

I don't know. I haven't try to, it can play nudoku (sudoku) for sure, and if you want to it can tell you your fortune today, help you decide what to cook/ eat (oh yeah, I have trouble deciding my meal), and even answering a yes no question :D

the banner, the fortune telling, the "cooking mama" and the "ask guru joe" are all shell scripts. I am already happy to only write with the micro journal but I've been having fun playing with the shell script to make some stress relief between the writing sessions. I know nothing about coding, so I asked Gemini AI to make the code and I made the ASCII Art using nano editor on rev.2. I am an animator so I kinda miss seeing pictures, although it is very challenging to draw in ASCII art style, the shell script make it possible to even make simple animation.

Some people need calendar or to do list, I need stress relief once in a while, it's not like I will spend my whole day chatting with the "ask guru joe", I still have to write that damn academic paper. But it is nice to finally have my own answer to "it has linux, what can you do with that?"

Micro Journal Rev.2.1 with Linux on it! Cool! Can it run Doom?
