I did not care for Arcueid

Did not care for Arcueid.

I can already detect this is a hot take given the banner but unfortunately I'm new here and can't hold it in anymore. I realize she's the main character aside from Shiki and that she's essentially the vehicle to get the player involved in the main plot, which is vampire shenanigans but holy moly she gets old quickly. She shows up, hijacks the story for 6 hours, and then forced into being a love interest regardless of how you feel or which paths you take.

I don't really mind her cute airhead routine but I find it grating how Shiki seems to not comprehend what he's talking too most of the time. Feels like a tonal clash that the invincible super vampire gets more playful dialogue than Ciel and Akiha. Should I be mad a character doesn't realize he's being manipulated? Probably not, but Shiki seems like a smart guy otherwise so his scenes with Arc feels OOC.

During her scenes I just fucking zone out. Like they just don't end. It's hellish. Like I said, it didn't start that way but the longer she's talking the less I care. I like everything and everyone else though. It's strictly her that got my goat.
