Christmas with the Kranks is kind of weird
One of my favorite Christmas movies is Christmas with the kranks with Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, however as I’ve aged, I’ve discovered how odd the plot really is. For example, an ENTIRE city is concerned about one family simply skipping Christmas for one year to go on a cruise since their only daughter left and it wouldn’t feel the same without her. They get bombarded by trespassers, relentless callers, and even newspaper articles. How could a whole town really care that much? And it doesn’t even take place long ago, it takes place in the early 2000s. Even though it’s a mere Christmas movie, it just seems stupid and weird the more I think about it. No wonder it has a low score on rotten tomatoes.
