Do parents help their grade school kids with homework anymore?
I have seen a ton of videos here on reddit about teachers experiencing kids in their class that can’t read, have no idea how to structure a sentence, are lacking any critical thinking skills, etc. Often times, teachers in these videos cite homework assignments that are incorrect in the most absurd ways, clearly showing a complete misunderstanding of the assignment, not a lack of effort on behalf of the student. Assuming kids do at least some of their homework at home, aren’t parents checking assignments from time to time, or helping their kids when they don’t understand the assignments? I don’t have kids myself, and my friends that do have kids under 4 years old.
