Give me the run down

Is now a bad time to become an attorney?

I’m 26, already have a masters degree in education, I’m debt free, have a US teaching license, and I am working at an international school in China.

I don’t see myself living abroad forever, although it is very enjoyable. I see myself having about 2 more years of this lifestyle, saving up some more money, and then making a return to the US.

I’m not really interested in being a teacher long term either in the US. I would love to come home and become an attorney in public defense or family law. Something simple.

I’m not craving a big law high powered 200k+ per year salary, just a stable middle income job. With my masters degree and weird background, I think a mid-tier school could give me a good scholarship assuming I do well on the LSAT.

Figured the status obsessed people in here (myself included) would have good advice about law school generally. Am I too old, naive, etc etc.
