When did it become so hard to find hookups?

NSFW

I'm 27, and, several years ago, I use to tinder to have make successful hookups.

I recently rejoined the app, and am shocked to see how man men ages 24-35 are looking for longterm partners. I'm struggling to get anyone who wants to just directly hookup or be fwb, which is a big shocking to me. I've only gotten i to better shape over the years, and have no issue finding okay people are bars, but I want someone who's more my type and into the same kinks I like. Every match I get seems too gentle.

I'm astounded by the seeming social shift. I'm flabbergasted by the amount of men who want a dog, a house, and a spouse. For all the complaints from women and queer men that men will not settle down, that's almost all of what I'm seeing on what used to be the hookup app.

Did fear mongering and resentment from those not meant for hookups really ruin hookup culture like it seems? I remember being able to use apps like ordering takeout—is the economy just making everyone desperate for someone to split rent with? Christ.
