Have you used Lion Brand Landscapes yarn before? Wondering about hook size!

I'm going to be making a blanket that calls for Lion Brand's Ferris Wheel yarn, which is a single ply roving yarn that is worsted weight, and uses a 5mm hook. I've been wanting to use their Landscapes yarn because I preferred the colour options and figure easy swap, it's another single ply roving worsted weight yarn! Imagine my surprise when I go to start my pattern, check my label... and discover that Landscapes calls for a 6.5mm hook.

What have others who used this yarn done to adjust? It's just a granny spike stitch blanket I'll be making for my family and I really like a nice drape to my blankets, but I also chose this stitch because it doesn't leave as many holes as others. With any other yarn I'd probably try a bunch of rows and just see how I felt about them, but while this yarn is beautiful it reeeeeeeeeeally hates being frogged.
