Chewing on the idea of tent camping in West Virginia in February

Just bought tickets for Fasnacht in Helvetia. Wondering if it would be advisable to camp instead of getting an Airbnb. I’ve read that it still snows in February up there, and we’ll have a little adventurer with us (a toddler). I know it’s not impossible to camp in the snow and cold, but I want to know what we would need in preparation (outside of the usual primitive camping supplies), best practices for keeping warm at night, and anything else I might need to consider. Also, any input from locals regarding what kind of weather to expect at that time would be greatly appreciated!
