Perhaps try PEA for pain management: My experience.
Disclaimer: I'm not a dr, just a patient.
Last year I pinched my trigeminal nerve and other nerves when a shoulder contracture became one with my bruxism/tmj disorder. It was an event of two days, I remember details and if you know you know. One morning I woke up after using muscle relaxant and strong pain killers and I couldn't open my eye. I also have POTS and MCAS, and possibly hEDS, so the whole ordeal was not just the trigeminal nerve but also the whole body and it was traumatizing.
I found a good dr that diagnosed me with miofascial pain syndrome and started PT (neck, face and scalp) with him to release tension and he made me a special guard that I use on bad nights, and after six months of physio and 6 others of just life, I been able to go back to the gym and i'm doing weight lifting, all this to day that there's been a whole ordeal behind the scenes than just one thing.
It was july this summer when I first ordered PEA (specifically discomfort relief from life's extension) and I've been using it since, at times I've stopped it just cause I ran out and it takes like 2 weeks to ship and I've noticed a drastic worsening of my tmj pain. I decided to take it because is a mast cell regulator and I have a lot of neural pain all over my body and possibly leaky gut among many other things, which is why it might work for me, but I'm leaving some relevant literature... So I'm not saying is gonna work for sure but if you have a similar history to mine, it might.
In regards of my dr, I'm based in Mexico, consultation was $700mxn = 38.53usd in today's exchange rate, each PT session was $500mxn $27usdish, I can't recall how many I needed, I did one per week, the dental guard was 2000mxn/110.08usd the first one, my damn rescue puppy ate it and i got another one which was i think 3000mxn for whatever reason. I highly highly recommend him, he looks young af but I owe him my mental sanity. He is not like a social media personality, just a truly good doctor that tries to better himself for his patients https://www.instagram.com/dentista.becerril/
Now literature on PEA:
PEA is a naturally occurring fatty acid amide that plays a crucial role in reducing inflammation and regulating pain. It works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system, helping to calm overactive nerve signals associated with chronic pain. Unlike THC or CBD, PEA is non-psychoactive, making it a promising alternative for patients seeking natural pain relief without unwanted side effects.

In a randomized clinical trial comparing the effect of PEA versus ibuprofen (NSAIDs) in reducing pain induced by osteoarthritis or arthralgia of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), PEA was effective in the anti-inflammatory treatment of TMJ. After 2 weeks of treatment, pain reduction, along with an improvement in maximum mouth opening, was significantly greater in the PEA-treated group than in the ibuprofen-treated group.

I like the brand life extension discomfort relief because you chew them and I find it acts faster, I take from 1200mg divided in two doses, to 2400mg per day in shit days. PEA400 by natural factors I believe is micronized whereas life extension I have no idea. I noticed no difference between the two, and the longer you are on it the less you need, that has been my experience, unless ofc you flare up if you have other chronic illnesses and you might need a bit more, but I seriously can't live without it, is 10/10.
