What PM work have you actually automated with AI?

I keep seeing posts on LinkedIn about how PMs are scared and the job is ripe for disruption, and that 80% of the job can be automated. I've been able to speed some things up dramatically - drafting updates and exec summaries, creating prototypes and validating ideas, and building queries are a few examples. But it's not fully automated. I still need to direct, review, and revise. Maybe I'm just a dinosaur, but I don't see myself fully relying on AI to do things without being super hands on, at least for now.

A few things maybe I could imagine automating:

  • Generating weekly updates on key metrics. Doesn't save that much time if you have solid dashboards with reliable data.
  • Ingesting and summarizing user feedback and requests from stakeholders. Maybe even a little prioritization/stack ranking
  • Stress testing systems, which isn't really PM work but still important
  • Taking notes, summarizing, and extrapolating action items. I want this so badly but more companies than you'd think don't let you do this and most people don't like being recorded.

So, what parts of your job have you fully automated?
