Google interview follow-up delay – should I ask for an update?

I had my Google Round 1 interview in mid November for a SWE role (FRESHER).

The round went pretty well, the interviewer asked two DSA questions and I was able to solve both.

Today is 7th December, so it's been a little over two weeks and I still haven’t received any update from the recruiter.

Is it appropriate to send a follow-up email asking for the status? I don’t want to seem impatient, but I also don’t want to miss any expected communication window.

What would you suggest is the right approach here? Anyone with experience in Google recruitment timelines, please share your insights.
