Out of pure curiosity how would you guys build out a rod using this custom rod handle?

I like the look and I recently replaced/added some guides on a vintage johnny walker pistol grip spincast rod I have. No pics because my wraps look bad and it was all done by hand. No tools besides a lighter, razor blade, and the brush for the fly tying glue I used. Rotated with my hands. How would you guys build this handle out? I would want to use a casting reel (not a round one) and have it be a general use rod. Maybe 1pc fiberglass or 6ft or maybe a 6'6 graphite medium action blank. What would you guys do even if you don't like pistol grips let alone a wooden one. I'm mostly a bank fisherman usually and I bass fish, and panfish mostly. I do yak fish and I have a bass hunter I haven't used yet. Sorry if this is a lame post.
