What is linguistics/CLASIC like at Boulder? What is Boulder like in general?

In my final year of undergraduate, my key reference was hit by a texting driver and was unable to deliver her reference in time. I was just curious what the linguistics/CLASICS program is like at CU Boulder. Also, what Boulder both the town and university are like. I eventually got into a CL program in Northern NJ but I have always been curious what would had have happened if I got into Boulder.
