PVP Changes Recently?

I’ve been playing the game for a while now and I think I’ve been killed by other Raiders like two or three times, not a bad experience at all.

However, tonight, we just played five straight games where we got ganked by other players. One of them was as soon as we spawned in. Obviously, somebody was camping one of the spawn points. Did something change in the game over the last two days to emphasize PVP?
