Mitsubishi EZ fit ceiling cassette blowing directly onto couch, is there a fix?

Hi there,

I wondered if this could be an issue but Mitsu makes it sound like the air blows parallel to the ceiling. Not true the vane is still pointing down. It is behind our couch and blows air directly onto the couch. Is there a way to modify the unit to make it blow higher? or any other type of mod? Thank you!
