Why do survivors asked to be killed in endgame?

Recently I played a match as singularity in the hospital and my 1st chase was a Steve with the all blue fit.

Constantly screaming for wtv reason. First 10 seconds of the chase I realized i was NOT going to get any kills with type of map/skill level of players. So i went straight to the exit to afk at the gate and wait to open it when gens were completed.

1 person was gesturing me to get me to kill them at the hook when i had already opened the gates. she was then unhooked and told me to down the steve i had first saw at the beginning of the game. For wtv reason she started Tbagging him while he was downed and made him escape? And the Steve also just stood there and let me down him. The girl and one other person then intentionally waited until the timer went off to kill themselves.

Why??? Were they trying to taunt me or like just trying to anger me for some reason… i dont think they were solo queue either.
