Select multiple genres

I’m not a playlist guy. I hear a song I like, I add to library. My issue is that I can’t select multiple genres to shuffle. For instance, when I want to listen to country, I won’t hear all my songs because some are listed as “ traditional country” or “bluegrass”. Is there anyways around this other than making a playlist?
