Would you pay $700aud more ($465usd) to upgrade from panoramic ocean to prime infinite veranda?

Booked our first Celebrity Cruise on Edge doing Southern Australia in December 2026. It’ll be myself, my wife and our 2 year old.

We’ve already booked a panoramic ocean (seeing some photos from the room it looks like the lifeboat is right under the window). For an extra $700aud ($465usd) we can upgrade now to a prime IV.

Originally I was going to try to bid for an upgrade but I feel this difference I might as well just pay and book it now and get the room I want (there’s 4 nice options on level 7, no connecting room and on the outer bludge so no obstructions either).

We LOVE balcony rooms and always book them on our cruises. From sitting outside to having some fresh air, really makes a difference.

That time of the year it’ll be warm but not too hot where we’re going (Tasmania, South Australia & Melbourne.

Is the upgrade worth it? Such mixed reviews on the IVs.
