Super Commute or Take New Job

Currently in IL, in a job I’ve had only 9 months. Moved to IL for this job and I’ve hated IL since I got here but I have the best boss, the company has invested a lot in my development, and has already allowed me to transfer to another IL city that I like better.

My husband was laid off, he landed a new job in Tennessee in a city I really like.

My job requires 2 days in IL. I started interviewing and have an offer (same pay), but I do not think I will like my new boss.

Would you go ahead and take the new job or super commute for maybe 6 months until I can ask for another transfer at my current job? With flights (1 hour flight) and hotel I’m looking at spending $1000/months until using budget airlines and hotels.
