Need advice.....

I am in Semester 5 right now, and my end-semester exams didn’t go well. Until now, I have not received a single backlog and I have a 7 SPI, but in this end-semester I might get a backlog. The problem is that my university considers the marks of the last four semesters(sem 5,6,7and 8), and I am panicking right now about my CGPA and what will happen if I get a backlog.

My GATE target is 2027 and I will also attempt it in 2026. I have completed about 50 percent of the syllabus till now. The next semester will start from Semester 6 on 1st January, and I don’t know how I will keep up with both GATE and university preparation.

So should I focus on both or university exams only?
