PSA: ELITE CLUE SCROLL BOXES CURRENTLY BUGGED WHEN KILLING OCEAN CREATURES

If you have an elite clue in your bank or inventory (ex: sherlock piety skipper clue), ocean creatures will NOT drop additional elite clue scroll boxes, even if you have not hit your cap of 5. People in clogger clan have killed thousands of vampyre kraken and great white sharks and were not receiving any elite clue scroll boxes because of this bug. We figured out a "fix" where you can bring your elite clue onto your boat and drop it, afterwards you will receive elite clue scroll boxes from the ocean creatures as normal. Though this is very annoying because if you log out or hop worlds, you will lose any clues you have on the ground of your boat.

I believe there was a similar bug with elite clues at Hallowed Sepulchre not dropping scroll boxes when you have not reached your cap, which was fixed on September 17th 2025.

We have submitted bug reports in game. Thought I would put it out here on Reddit as PSA and also to gain more visibility for a speedy fix. Jagex please look into this! Thank you.
