3rd generation Rav 4 - delayed throttle/acceleration (Question)

I have a 2008 toyota rav 4 (200,000 km). I wanted to ask, has anyone with a third Gen ever faced the issue of delayed acceleration while pressing the throttle?

I have a check engine light, 4WD, and VSC light that are all also on the dash - not sure what the issue is causing the delayed acceleration.

The delayed acceleration occurs somewhat frequently when the car has to speed up again from 0 to 30 - 40 km

Any tips, guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
