Travelling to montreal in Jan 2026

Hi! 24M student from NYC travelling to Toronto to meet some friends around new year. We plan to spend 2 nights each at Montreal and Ottawa from 2 Jan onwards.

Can you please suggest things to do over there? We want to do activities and attend parties (i heard Montreal has some great rave parties). Not a big fan of visiting places like museums 😅.

Please help.
