Gimme Some Oven website

Going to add at the outset that I’m venting my personal frustrations here…

Found a good recipe on Gimme Some Oven for slow cooker potato soup. Food was honestly good. However, when using the site to help me buy ingredients in the grocery store, using the site while prepping and cooking ingredients, and using the site while trying to leave a review, I’ve gotten insanely frustrated.

I’m no stranger to how laborious recipe sites can be. I know that there are extensions in Chrome that just give you the site and skip the bullshit, but I try to patronize them to give them their due. I have never, ever come across a site so abysmal in my 15 years of cooking from online sites. At any given time there are four ads on the screen with at least one playing a video. Trying to buy the ingredients the page crashed three times. When cooking I was trying to take screenshots and it froze more than once just trying to do that. I persisted and afterwards went to write a three star review (was going to leave 4 because the food was good, but was docking a point for that garbage site) and couldn’t even do it. I tried leaving a review 12 times. TWELVE TIMES. The ads made it so completely unusable I came here to vent. I was literally unable to leave a review so here I am. If, on the off chance, the owner behind that site reads this, I hope you stub your toe.
