It is constantly debated now why women do sex work, but why do men pay for it?

I want to discuss it in depth because people on the prosexwork side argue that the men who pay, are only paying for a service, and do not deserve to be villanized.

It is often classified as a service, as if the body can be seperated from what is being sold. I don't think men are paying for a service, I think they are paying to rent a commodity - a woman's body. So what sort of man does that, and can he really be trusted with "consent"? What sort of man pays and why?
