Anyone else have social anxiety since early childhood?
As far as I can remember I have always been a very socially anxious person. I don’t remember there ever being a specific trigger that made me this way. I was always scared of other people, I would always cower behind my parents in the presence of others. When I started kindergarten I didn’t know how to approach others so I kept to myself. I always wondered to myself how others knew when it was acceptable to approach others and how to keep a conversation going (still wonder how others do this to this day.) I didn’t have any friends throughout middle and high school besides a few online friends. Even now as a 26 year old I have not overcome social anxiety.
Have any others had life long social anxiety and learned to overcome it?
