How to manage the Sagemcom F@st 3896 modem?

well can we at least reboot from the horrible cogeco website? no, apparently it also doesn't work with this modem.

I've now spent over 11 hours talking to various departments about this. one guy after 3 hours sent me a link to download the app.......

So horrible support aside does ANYONE know how you can actually manage any settings on this crap modem?
