Hey all, I have a 6 year old calico cat who has thrown up her entire meal twice today. I’ve seen her throw up a tiny bit of food before, or white ish foam. That’s normal for her every once and awhile. But today is the first day she threw up her entire food bowl. Nothing was digested. Both after breakfast and dinner.

She eats a mixture of dry and wet food. I like to make sure she utilizes her teeth and also gets extra hydration from wet. 

She tried to eat a little of it after she threw up, then went and licked her empty food bowl. She’s still been playful, acting like herself, she drank water, used the litter box, still acts hungry, and is letting me touch and pet her.

First time she did it, I gave her half a scoop of dry food so she had something on her stomach. She ate and to my knowledge did not throw it up. Same thing tonight. Didn’t hear much chewing, I wonder if she’s having a hard time chewing and swallowing too much whole? Or too excited and eating too fast? But this is new. She’s always excited to eat lol.

She’s not acting in pain and her stomach doesn’t feel bloated or hard. And she has been eating the same brand of food for years. Was not a new bag of dry food or new box of wet either.

I’m sure a lot of people post about their cat’s vomit, but I’m just worried and trying to find out if this is normal. She’s not been exposed to anything new. She’s my first baby.
