madmen on HBO max - v* special effects accidentally left in

hi guys! sorry if someone's already posted about this but i just saw today-

the show madmen was added to HBO max, but for some reason they uploaded a raw version without VFX edits to cover practical effects/crew. i'm talking in particular about a scene where a character v*- you can literally see the device they used AND the crew member in full view!! so funny. i won't attach the pic but it's easily googleable. if you don't want to see it, just don't even google madmen bc there are a lot of news articles discussing it and you will see pics!

in the scene, a character leans over and "v*". in the unedited version, you can see everything from the hose beside his mouth, the liquid not actually coming out his mouth, the device AND a crew member crouched down on the right side of the scene, operating the machine🤣

i'm curious, does anyone else feel better about v* scenes in movies/tv when you can see how the effect was done?

personally it helps so much to see the devices and effects "behind the scenes" bc i'm super easily triggered by tv and movies! seeing that it's all fake makes me feel a lot better when watching tv :3

one of my hyperfixations is actually the exorcist- my absolute peak moment was seeing the "v* apparatus" itself at a museum LOL it felt like i defeated my phobia just a little bit!
