Marine Transportation degree in the PH

Hello! I'm currently in senior high school in the PH, and I'm still a bit undecided of my course. I'm planning to pursue Speech Pathologist and looking for scholarship/sponsorship for it. BUT if not I'll go with Marine Transportation since there is some scholarship and is within the budget. I'm a female going for it, what are the disadvantages and advantages of it? I would like to hear the perspectives of both sides, female and male that is currently in college right now or have graduated! Please! And thank you!
