M.2 SSD (990 Pro) and Gigabyte Eagle WiFi6 Mobo

Hi everyone this is my 3rd time building a PC but first time in a couple years. I know to install the SSD in at an angle but when I do so one this Mobo the SSD does not hold at all on either M2 slot. It does fit length wise on the SB slot but not the CPU slot (the preferred install slot). I’m asking if anyone knows if this is a Mobo issue and if I need to return and get a new one? I currently can’t find any build videos with this exact board.
