Is fallout 4 safe to play on PS5 or PC yet?

I have not even begun to play this game for a first playthrough yet because i have been busy with so much stuff including other games but last time I went to try and play it there was the big drama with the anniversary patch or whatever it was and it completely breaking the game.

Are things relatively stable now with at least no mods or is it chaos? Thanks
