My girlfriend (28f) won't stop calling me (32f) "cute"

I know it doesn't sound that big of a deal said it like this, and lots of man might even find it nice, and I do too, to an extent, like when I ACTUALLY DO something that can be considered cute.

My problem is when she calls me cute for no conceivable reason, when I'm just eating, when I'm playing games, when I'm simply sitting looking at my phone. For a few months now she also started to pick my cheeks and make baby noises!

I know it's probably her way to express her love, but it makes me feel more and more like an actual baby rather than her partner.

Maybe I take it so much personally cause of the way my mother has always treated me. She wouldn't let me cut some bread even in my 20s in case I'd cut myself! And that's only the tip of the iceberg. She was always hyperprotective. As soon as I fled that house I suddenly started to value myself, because I could finally feel like I was growing up.

But now, in the highest expression of the Oedipus complex, I live with a person that comes running to me if she hears that I smashed my foot somewhere to kiss it to heal.

I feel that this is affecting our relationship in more than a way: I've been having less and less drive to have sex with her, for a while now. It's just weird to behave naughty in the sheets when she sees me like her "shy cute little puppy".

I don't know what to do. I already talked to her about it in the first months of the relationship, and I thought I could get used to it, but it's starting to be heavy on me

TL;DR

My girlfriend won't stop calling me cute and because of some unresolved family issues with my mother this is affecting my relationship in a negative way
