This sub has a problem with encouraging kidnapping of cats. Also with feeding other people's cats.

Can the mods please remove posts where someone is clearly looking for validation to

• feed
• encourage into their home
• 'adopt'

A cat which is clearly healthy and owned by someone.

This is so irresponsible and it would cause heartbreak for the owners.

Feeding someone else's cat tempts them to seek out food away from home. It disrupts routine and confuses the cat.

I have a friend where I live who has a cat that goes away a lot because somebody else in our village was feeding it and even when she confronted them they continued to feed the cat and the result is that the cat now thinks that that other person's house is there home too. But this other person has now trained the cat to go to their house.

We really need to discourage this.
