Another newbie looking for advice as to what to do

Hi all. Basically I’m wondering if any of the ‘fishing bible’ books out there are worth it. I’m mainly based on the coast, but do a fair bit of inland 4wd along rivers, and have no idea where to start apart from getting a rod and reel. Ideally I’d like a guide as to what fish to target (food), what bait to use, and what to do to catch them. I know this is super broad but I’m only just getting into the game and wouldn’t mind something to use as a reference. I feel super out of my depth at the moment. Cheers!
