AITA for almost getting my teacher in trouble by asking her to postpone our submission?

Not the A-hole

I am in 12th grade. Our grade has 2 English teachers and one of them has a lot more experience, leadership positions, but is a far worse teacher. Last year, I was in the better teacher's class, let's call her T. A lot of students are close to T and she is aware of the problems we are having with S. S cannot teach for the life of her, with all her analysis being extremely generic and nonsensical. I always end up having to borrow notes from students of the other class. Last year, S's students raised issues about her not grading them correctly. A few of my friends went to the coordinator saying that they were graded incorrectly, and the feedback they received was not helpful at all. So, this year, that set of students is now taught by T while my set is taught by S. There was another student earlier this year who changed her project from English to Business because the English teacher did not understand the guidelines of the project. So, in a test, S gave her a D- when she has always been an A student. She went to the Head of School because of this, because any grades we get this year will go straight to our transcript for college applications. She got her class changed to T.

Now, we have a spoken test which has to go to our international board to be moderated and graded. The spoken test for us was scheduled 2 days before our premocks, which are also the most important grades for our transcript. The thing is, all of us were juggling our script for the test along with studying for the premocks (the first one was math). 4 days before the spoken test, we get to know that the class that has half the subjects as the rest of the students got their spoken test postponed to January. The test goes to the board in March. All of us were pretty outraged, because their subjects and workload is half of ours, and we all were extremely stressed having to juggle both the test and the premocks. So, around 10 emailed the coordinators to get our test postponed. I was one of the 3 students who also sent the email to S. I admit that we were being extremely short-sighted, because we did this within 2 hours, and did not think of consequences.

I have always maintained a good relationship with S, because my mom is a teacher here, and she is good friends with S & T. I never said anything against her in case it affects my grades (she's known for biased grading) or she affects my mom's position as she is known to get teachers fired (also why T doesn't say anything).

The next day, my mom tells me that S is infuriated and said something along the lines of "I am not going to help these kids with anything, let me see what grade they get." Our spoken got postponed to January. A few days later, I tell her that all the students were being short sighted and we should not have mass emailed, its just that we were stressed. She just says its now your problem to deal with as you have a lot of submissions in January. I understood her side, but she refused to understand the students. AWTA?
