God’s promise that Great Tribulation “will be cut short because of the elect” reveals His majestic theology

Reply to the question “What will be sign of end of this Age?”was description of many global events such as Global Wars in which all the weapons will be used “causing desolation” to earth and “great tribulation” to inhabitants. Then it was said: Great Tribulation “will be cut short because of the elect.”(Mathew 24:21, 22)

The Greek word translated as “the elect” is eklektos which is translated as “choice stones” in 1 Peter 2:6. People get attracted to “choice” stones/pearls because of their high value and beauty. Hence the underlying thought is that some people chose to be “rich in faithfulness” towards God (James 2:5) decorating themselves with “fruit of spirits” (Galatians 5:22, 23) in contrast to the rich man in Parable of the Rich and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-32) who accumulated abounding wealth and decorated himself with all luxuries who follow a philosophy of seeking special treatment from God asking ‘if He sends someone from the dead to them, they will repent.’ (Luke 16:30)

Such an unrealistic deman is dismissed by God because there are always on earth some people (poor or rich) who decorate themselves with qualities of God. Abraham was materially rich but was also rich in faith towards God (Genesis 15:5, 6) which he manifested through his “me-SECOND attitude” which is known from his famous statement in Genesis 13:9. Such people are figuratively called Lazaruz which is a combination of El (God) + azar (help), whose life-style shows God is their help. They have learned to practice will of God by looking at the abundant and varied provisions made on this earth for life’s substance and enjoyment. Choice people are symbolized by wheat in Parable of Wheat and Weeds (Mathew 13:24-30) (Details here https://www.reddit.com/r/theology/comments/1o7uwlb/all_theological_questions_answered_in_parable_of/ ) They are shown as always available on this earth till the end of this Age [for the sake whom “great tribulation is cut short”] and are also shown as surviving into New Age. When there are people who choose to reflect qualities of God on their own, unbelievers’ unrealistic demand that God should provide them credible and verifiable proof for His existence and make Himself detectable is automatically dismissed by God, like anyone dismiss costly purchase when the same is available free. This is especially so because God is not interested in receiving  anything from people as requirement to be a symbolic wheat or sheep, thus to be “choice people” is to be humane.
