No time and no money to do the medically right thing. Please help.
So today is day 4 of my friends 6 month old shepherd dog having the parvovirus. We are dirt floor poor and some as*hole left my friend with their dog roughly 4 weeks ago. He has completely fallen in love with the dog and is distraught and beside himself. He's devastated to say the very least. And up until yesterday we had no idea on how to handle the situation at hand here. He has now started pumping liquids into him, more specifically Pedialyte. The dog has shown some minor improvements all while showing sign of going backwards in overall recovery efforts. I have some Tramadols that I'm trying to get my friend to give to his dog. I feel that if the dog is dying then it is inhumane to not make him feel a little better. He is refusing to do so because he thinks it will hurt his dog even more. What should he do. I also think that just about anything that makes us humans feel good and if we have access to these things and not necessarily the stuff that says for animals only drugs and antibiotics that he should absolutely give these things to his dog to my the animal in less pain and less miserable. All answers will be considered. Thank you. Need help fast though.
