24F and 39M , in a relationship for 8 months. Am i paranoid or overthinking or is this a concern?

Hi, first of all please don't judge on the age gap. We had a loooong conversation about this before getting together. But lately something has been bothering me : i met my boyfriend at the same job now everything went well but he's always been a lady's favourite over there and friends with all the women there, Now after i got fired in a really cruel way.. He's been odd about everything. He gets mad at me for being sad i lost my favorite job and good pay. He gets there way earlier then normal, stays way longer While he never did this when i worked there and when we were together + claims he hates the job. He now also always defends the job for some odd reason while he knows how bad it is over there.. Am i paranoid or.. Does he maybe have an eye on a woman there? I know they are all way more mature then me and it's a good payed job while i now only earn half the wage i had before. He's been more distant. Way more on his phone and i am just worried... Anyone any advice or am i hopefully just paranoid and overthinking? I love him so much but he gets so skittish when i ask him why he stays longer claiming he just plays games on his phone in the parking lot.. I don't wanna ruin our 8 months relationship already for just overthinking..
