How bad is it to Request for release from Project

I was recently tagged to a new Project and just 1 month into it, im exhausted. Timing is all over the place day to night , extreme pressure, sudden weekend support required .. etc etc.. how bad will it look asking for release after 1 month into the Project? Has anyone experienced this?
