Do you offer to split the bill on first dates?

Or do you just sit there and thank them when they pay? I’m talking when you’re dating guys in a similar tax bracket. I’m a bit of a traditionalist but lately been told I need to be more “grateful” by men. Pls lmk what yall do lol.
