The gunslinger turned me off

I was really excited to get into the Dark Tower. I heard that the gunslinger wasn’t great but I actually LOVED the first two stories.

Then the last three turned me off so much that I was forcing myself to read and that is something I hate doing. Now I’m in the drawing of the three and I’m just not feeling it. I’m only in the first couple chapters. It I’ve already spent 6plus hours forcing myself to read something I don’t like that I am only going to give this book a certain window to capture me, and if it doesn’t I’m giving up.

I just feel ZERO connection to the quest and story at this point.

Any thoughts?
