These resellers on Vinted who sabotage sales already concluded, does this happen to you too?

BUYING

Frankly, I'm tired of seeing certain behavior from resellers on Vinted. A seller puts an item at a fair price, a person who does not necessarily have the means to buy it new jumps at the opportunity, pays, is happy to have found it and is already planning with the piece. Normally, from there, the sale is made and everyone should be happy. Except that once the ad is marked “sold”, some resellers arrive in private messages to offer the seller more. They will not openly say that they are reselling behind, but we know very well that these are resellers who seek to recover the item and then put it back at a higher price. The seller then begins to doubt, to tell himself that he could have earned more, and sometimes this ends in a canceled sale or strange behavior.

In the middle of all this, there is above all a buyer who had done things properly and who finds himself cast aside without having done anything wrong. I find this really sad and heartless. There are people who watch the ads for a long time, who save up to finally afford a beautiful piece, and by the time they get there and validate the purchase, everything can be called into question just because a reseller then comes along to offer “more”.

You can very well be a reseller and do your business, but at some point you have to respect the sales already concluded: if it's sold, it's sold. When we see that an item is gone, we move on, we don't try to break a transaction that has already made someone happy.

Vinted should remain a place where those who don't necessarily have the means to buy something new can still have fun, not a platform where certain resellers are constantly trying to scrape a little more at the expense of others. There you go, that was my rant. I wonder how many sales have already been canceled because of this kind of dealer maneuvering. Has it ever happened to you, as a buyer or seller, to see a sale sabotaged like this?
