graphics update

My RTX 5070 Ti should arrive soon if all goes well. I have a few questions about upgrading to the RTX 50 series. I currently have an RTX 2080 Super. Should I use DDU and uninstall the drivers, or just connect the new GPU and update it through the application? I have a Corsair RM1000e ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 power supply. I've read that the power cable should go directly from the power supply to the GPU. What recommendations or other things should I know?
