Any safe way to reduce ear fluid pressure? Tinnitus getting worse & looking for options
I’ve been dealing with constant tinnitus in my left ear for a few months now, and it’s been getting progressively worse. It’s a nonstop high-pitched electrical hiss and hardly anything masks it anymore. It’s really wearing me down. I had my ears checked recently - they said there’s no wax buildup, but there is some fluid trapped behind the ear, and I was told there isn’t much I can do on my own to remove it.
Frustrating when you’re the one living with it daily.I’m trying to figure out what options people have used to relieve that blocked, fluid-pressure feeling:
● Are there any safe remedies or techniques that helped you?
● Did anything speed up drainage (like decongestants, steam, sleeping positions, etc.)?
● Is it something an ENT can treat more directly?
I was also wondering about suction-type wax removal tools — obviously they’re meant for surface wax, not inner ear fluid — but I’ve seen things like Bebird with the camera that can at least help check if wax is making the pressure worse or clogging things near the entrance. Has anyone used something like that just to rule out blockage? I know you can’t suction fluid out of the middle/inner ear, but I’m hoping someone here has been through something similar and found relief before an ENT visit. Any advice, experiences, or coping tips would be appreciated
