AITAH for wanting to have gift boundaries with ex?
I started typing out this big long explanation but essentially my husband T has an ex wife A who is married to M. M has ex wife C. Everyone involved here gets along besides A. No one besides her husband, and that’s questionable, likes A. I have tried and tried and tried with this woman. She doesn’t like other woman and wants all men to be under her control. She sees us as threats. Me and T have started our own traditions now that we are married. We are finding out that it’s hard to get her to stop acting like she’s the wife… she wants to do stuff with the kids for him that’s weird. It’s like she’s still playing house. Don’t get me wrong I know some exes get along, it’s jolly, and that’s not them. I won’t put her on blast but the way their marriage ended wasn’t pretty and it’s on her. So for her to keep acting like it’s all grand is weird. Mainly cause she never owned up to her part in his pain and we have tried to talk to her about it. She ignores it… so when it comes to gift giving here is where my question comes into play: we want to limit her to just crafts or baking from the kids. I take care of all the gifts from them to their dad. They picked em out helped me wrap em. She’s wanting to do the same… issue is he doesn’t wanna see stuff she bought around our house. And she buys like big stuff from them. Like a creepy piggy bank that stares at us from the closet. Stuff that takes up space in the house and isn’t practical. And when he looks at it he doesn’t see the kids he sees his ex wife trying to play family. So is it weird, would we be AH to say hey we really only want crafts or baking since the kids love that stuff. We don’t want store bought stuff from her? Even if she says it’s them?
