Pen pressure suddenly ceasing to work

hello! i'm a windows 10 user and i've had a wacom pth-660 for maybe 5 or more years now, never had any major issues with it besides my driver sometimes working incorrectly which was always easily fixable with just reinstalling it or reloading my computer. however, last week my pen pressure just suddenly stopped working and nothing i've done has been able to fix it. this issue has been consistent in all drawing programs i have (clipstudio, krita and sai).

what i've already done: deleted and reinstalled the driver on the latest version (multiple times), did a driver check in wacom center which came back clean, reset the settings to the factory ones, tried different configurations for windows ink settings, changed the settings in the drawing programs themselves, changed the pen nib.

is there a chance that my tablet is just broken? everything else besides the pen pressure works as usual. but maybe it just got old and it's time to let it go...
