If I wanted to get into the ANNO series... Where to start?

As someone who has played a couple of the Anno games before, but isnt that good at city building, which Anno title would be worth playing from a beginning point of view? Something that isnt massively complicated, but is also forgiving for new players to city builders?

I suppose I should say I do have 1800 as I bought it on xbox and its a play anywhere title, I can play it on PC. I did buy 2207 YEARS ago, but never got into it, again, I didnt know what I was supposed to be doing. I do like the look of 117 as its less industrial and seems like there is a lot less moving parts.

I know there are a lot of vidoes of beginner tips out there, but I dont want to be spending tens of hours just watching them and not learning by playing. I just need the start to not be so full on and less forgiving.

Any help would be appreciated.
