Good resources to learn programming from scratch?

I'm a copywriter in a company and now they are hiring a lot of machine learning engineers. I have a PhD in linguistics, so the linguistic part is very strong but I don't have any coding experience at all. Where should I start? They said Python is the first language I should learn. Please give me resources. I am willing to pay as long as I can put the certificates on my LinkedIn profile
